Sci-Tech Asia Webinar
Innovation, Automation, and the Digital Economy Webinar Series
Webinar Description
We’re very excited to announce our forthcoming webinar series on Innovation, Automation, and the Digital Economy. The series will be showcasing cutting-edge work in anthropology and social studies of science and technology dedicated to understanding the larger ethical, social, and political dimensions of contemporary landscapes of innovation, automation, and increasing digitalisation. The series will bring together critical ethnographic research focusing on recent developments and tensions in China, South Korea, and the Pacific Rim. One of the goals of the series is to foster a better understanding of the challenges faced by contemporary highly technologized societies through comparative social science research. The series is supported by the Research Cluster “Technoscience, Society, and Environment” of CIAS—Research Centre for Anthropology and Health at the University of Coimbra. The webinars will take place via Zoom on the dates scheduled in the poster.
