Ruijing WANG is currently an assistant professor of social anthropology at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at Chongqing University. She graduated in Sociology from China University of Political Science and Law in 2007 and obtained a MA degree in Social Anthropology from this same university in 2010. She developed her doctoral project at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology and received her PhD in Anthropology in 2016 from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg in Germany. Her first book is entitled Kinship, Cosmology and Support. Toward a Holistic Approach of Childcare in the Akha Community of South-Western China (Lit Verlag 2020). Her research interests bring together cosmology, kinship, reproduction, technology, and health care in Southwest of China.
