James WRIGHT is a research associate at the University of Sheffield’s CIRCLE research centre, where he works on exploring the potential of technology for making care systems sustainable. He completed his PhD in anthropology/science and technology studies at the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Hong Kong in 2018. His doctoral research focused on the development and implementation of care robots in Japan, and his broader interests include robotics, AI and algorithms, welfare technologies and public innovation policy.
