Huiyi HUANG is currently completing a MSocSc degree in Development Studies in the Department of Asian and International Studies at the City University of Hong Kong. Before starting her graduate studies, she conducted an oral history project on Chinese rural midwives in Jiangxi and Hunan Provinces. She is interested in childbirth practices and space transformation in China; women’s well-being and birth rights; women’s body control and how medical technologies influence human daily life experiences.
